Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA Victoria) is part of the environment portfolio (along with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and Sustainability Victoria) charged with protecting the Victorian environment. EPA is an administrative office of DELWP and reports to the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change. EPA’s Governance Charter (publication 1453) details the governance arrangements of EPA and Governance Policy (publication 1561) outlines its approach to governance.
EPA’s sole role is to regulate pollution and has independent authority to make regulatory decisions under the Environment Protection Act 1970. Based on its regulatory risk model EPA prioritises its compliance and enforcement activity by addressing the biggest risk to the environment and health – for more information see our Annual Compliance Plan 2014–15 (publication 1572)
EPA required a unified SharePoint Intranet with enterprise document management and a collaborative portal. As compared to their current split SharePoint environment with consist of SharePoint 2007, SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013.
The solution was built on SharePoint 2013 and consolidated all three SharePoint farms into one SharePoint 2013 farm. This was achieved by migrating all the SharePoint farm data into one single unified SharePoint 2013 farm.
